TV Media Late to Delta A-319 Story, Flubs Details

Delta Air Lines inaugurated A-319 mainline jet service at Bloomington-Normal’s Central Illinois Regional Airport on Saturday evening/Sunday morning, but one local television news outlet apparently got the memo a day late. I saw this on WMBD’s local news this morning. Talk about confusion.

The plane, with 126 passenger seats, has the ability to now hold an additional 50 people.

No…the plane with 126 passenger seats (an A-319) has replaced a plane with 76 seats (a CRJ900).

Figuring this out isn’t rocket science. At least it shouldn’t be. :(

    I pretty much laughed out loud when I saw this on their website as well… 50 more passengers than what? Oh and it also mentioned how Delta recently debuted the Airbus 319 like its a brand new plane in the fleet…
