It’s official: Peoria is getting its Atlanta flights back.
This was confirmed today at a news conference held at the Peoria Int’l Airport. Three daily roundtrips will be offered starting April 9, 2012.
While the article oozes with civic boosterism, it overlooks the real reason for Delta’s decision to bring back these flights: AirTran Airways’ announcement a week ago that it is pulling out of Bloomington-Normal.
