The March 31, 1900 issue of the Peoria Herald Transcript is the source for the date of the actual opening of the River Station building. The newspapers are on microfilm at the Peoria Public Library. 

As for the other, read the blog entry a little closer. You will find that I provided the source date for the story about cars illegally parked by the tracks. But I will repeat it - it was the February 7, 1981 issue of the Peoria Journal Star (the article says &quot;1982&quot;).</description>

It would be nice other than blogging and being critical, you approach the news organizations you are so critical of with the proper resources. I can almost guarantee you they would be interested in getting it right if, in fact, your history is correct.</description>
