This is due to the major water main break along the Kellar right of way near the Teton Lane crossing that occurred Saturday, possible concern ref a washout or soft ground & a desire that no trains run over it until it’s checked out. There’s also a similar barrier on south side of the Pioneer Pkwy crossing.
Nothing conspiratorial here, David.

Is there something that says the city did it? Couldn’t it have been one of the railroad companies. Possibly warning crews not to pass this spot. I remember last month, the CIRY crew had to wait a day (when they ran the length of the line) because there was a broken rail near Pioneer Park. Maybe the same thing happened here.

Wow, I dont know why they try to turn it into a trail its in a industrial area NOT a good place for a trail . I really don’t think a lot of people will even use it, so why bother.
