I always get a kick out of some silly terminology used by local print media regarding aviation. Case in point:
Central Illinoisans can take a glimpse into the life of a World War II B-17G flight crew, as one of the few working aircrafts left makes a weekend stop at Byerly Aviation, a charter plane airport next to the Peoria Regional Airport terminal. – Peoria Journal Star, October 5, 2008.
Byerly Aviation is a charter aviation service. Reminds me of the time in 1998 when I went up to the observation deck at the Greater Peoria Regional Airport. The eastward concourse extension had just been completed and an elderly gentleman who was also up there turned to me and exclaimed, “new airport!”
So a concourse extension makes it a “new airport.”
Uh huh.

Yep, it’s open, but it has taller bars that extend above your head. It’s like being in prison. You get-cross-eyed looking through them too long
A new baggage area almost directly ahead of the deck is in the way when photographing aircraft that pass by on their way to takeoff or heading to their gate.
